I am very excited to be joining the Lake Washington School District and especially Christa McAuliffe Elementary School. I consider it a privilege to be working with your children and a staff of this high level of expertise.
I am transitioning here from Snoqualmie Valley School District where I have recently been working in special education leadership. I have over 14 years of experience working in public education in both Washington and California as a special education provider. During this time, I have developed a thorough understanding of the importance of engagement and differentiation strategies for all students. At my core belief is a passion, that it is our job to help every student succeed to their own individual level of success. I believe that McAuliffe’s emphasis on collaboration so that students are receiving the best instruction possible allows for every student to succeed. I am excited to support our teachers and staff in this mission!
My husband Bill and I are the proud parents of three beautiful children and a Standard Poodle named Nellie. Our oldest daughter Hailey is attending WSU as a freshman, William is in the third grade and Lucy is in second grade. As a family we enjoy playing and watching sports! We are huge college football fans and on Saturdays you will find us cheering on the Cougars!
I am honored to be joining a dynamic group of teachers and parents that create a community focused on the success of our students. I will be splitting my time between Christa McAuliffe Elementary School (Monday, Thursday and every other Wednesday) and Margaret Mead Elementary School (Tuesday, Friday and every other Wednesday)
